Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, which features a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
