Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
